3rd Six Weeks

@ Your Skeeter Library

Science in the library

This was the six week for Science, with research projects for Health classes, Psychology classes, and Anatomy & Physiology. We would like to send shout-outs to teacher Albrecht, Coaches Webb, and Chandler, as well as Debbie Hammond for bringing in her College Prep class to practice the research process.

After being closed for a week of testing, the crowd is the norm.

Thanks to a grant from the Mesquite ISD Foundation Slam Poets Joaquin Zihuatenejo and Natasha Carrizosa performed for MHS English II classes November 18 and 19. They also taught some writing techniques and listened to students perform. Comments from students were "I've never seen a poet before; it helps me understand why poets exist." "I am thinking about starting a journal and write poetry."
