The Ming dynasty started sailing a lot of places to trade. More importantly America and Europe for silver. they also replaced paper money with coins. Occupations that were most important were writers especially poets. Also, opera singers and theater actors were important.
inventions & technology
The Ming invented wood block color printing and the two color printing process. Because of this documents could be mass produced. They also invented the bristle tooth brush. also produced Blanc de Chine a type of white porcelain.
Archetecture
Ming emperors built Taoist temples to show their power. One of the great achievements of the Ming architects was that they built a palace called the Forbidden City. They also began an 80- year refurbishing of the wall. Using local granite, limestone, and fired clay brick.
