West Oxford Owl
October 28, 2022
Our first All Pro Dad's breakfast was this week, and we had over 150 father figures in attendance! Our assistant superintendent, Dr. Stan Winborne, shared about the importance of being engaged in their children's lives, as evidenced by their presence at breakfast. Mr. Ross then led the crowd in table-based activities focused on character, integrity and responsibility - all critical aspects of being a positive father-figure. We are so thankful to have such engaged families!
Fifth grade went to the truck fair yesterday and second grade went to Saddle Rock Farms. Fifth grade had a great time learning about careers and second grade explored where our food comes from!
We have an early release day on November 1st and student led conferences are that afternoon. We can't wait for your students to share their learning with you!
Our PTO will meet at 6:00 on November 1st. We would love for you to join us as we finish preparing for the Fall Festival!
Dr. McLean is coming to West Oxford for Kitchen Table Conversations on November 3rd at 6:00. Come out and share your thoughts on our schools.
Our Fall Festival will be on November 4th from 5:00-7:00! We have a bounce house, hay ride, games, and food! We can't wait to see you there!
Mark your calendars! November 8th is a remote learning day, and the school building will not be open. Please go vote! November 11th is a holiday, and there will be no school.
Remember to be reading 22 minutes every night in 2022!!!
