Westwood HOSA Students

Westwood High School students travel each day to Ishpeming High School for their HOSA class which exposes students to different healthcare occupations while promoting the health professions and ensuring that future health professionals are prepared for college and their health profession of choice. Our students have learned CPR and first aid, dining assistant training, bedmaking, vital signs, and more. Below are some pictures of our students in action.

WHS Staff Get's a Welding Lesson

The staff at WHS spent some time in the Welding Lab as part of a team-building exercise last Friday afternoon. Mr. Jessen and three WHS welding students spent time teaching us proper safety, technique, how the welding process works, and then put us in the welding booths for some hand on experience. It was a great opportunity for our teachers to experience what many of our students do each day and the skills they learn in the lab. Thank you to TJ Seablom, Gavin Miller-Johnson, and Sophia Heinzman for being the teachers last Friday!

Kevin Hines Presentation

Kevin Hines, who was originally scheduled to present in early November, has been rescheduled for December 13 at 1 pm at Westwood High School.
