Brown School Buzz
January 23, 2023
Dear Families,
Teachers are encouraging children to think about their own goals or resolutions, and put actions and plans to those goals. Likewise, our staff members have been reviewing their own professional goals as well as their students' achievement goals. And not to be left out, I have also been reviewing our School Improvement Plan for the year and my own professional goals.
The exciting news is that our plans for implementation of a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) model, are mostly on target with regard to our implementation timeline. We've been able to accomplish much of what we had hoped to accomplish by mid-year, providing data-driven interventions in reading and developing a system for data review. I am so proud of the work the teachers and staff members are doing to provide targeted and relevant learning experiences for our students.
Our Brown School students have begun taking their i-Ready Math and Reading mid year assessments.. Teachers will be using this data to help continue to meet students' learning needs. Thank you for all you are doing to support your child's learning goals at home, including nightly reading and conversations about their daily learning experiences. Making connections at home really does make a difference in a child's learning.
