St. Baldrick's Event a Success!
Our 3rd annual St. Baldrick's event was a great success! On March 20th, 35 Washington staff and students shaved their heads to raise funds for pediatric cancer research. This year's event far surpassed our goal of $12,000 and raised over $17,000. That brings our three-year fundraising total to over $50,000. Thank you to the shavees, donors, and barbers/stylists who volunteered their time and services:
Patti Mueller
Nika Shah
Andrea Henderson
Briney Young
Janelle Martin
Krissy Heins
Deanna Rivera
Donna Wojciechowski
Joe Etheridge
from the following businesses:
Ellyn Salon
Nika Shah Hair Salon
LifeSpa Bloomingdale
Chrysalis
Beautiful You Salon and Spa
Hair by Janelle
Busy Bee Barber Shop
Washington families interested in donating can pledge a shavee or donate toward our event. All donations go to St. Baldrick's. Donate online here: Washington Baldrick's Donations.
As our event was occurring, our Baldrick's honored kid, 3rd grader Chase Ewoldt, was serving as a Baldrick's ambassador at a Washington D.C. meeting with Vice President Mike Pence to discuss childhood cancer.

WatchDOGS Sign-up
The WatchDOGS (Dads of Great Students) Is a program that creates opportunities for dads to volunteer in schools. WatchDOGS do not have to commit to an ongoing schedule; they can volunteer as little as one half-day a school year. WatchDOGS help out with whole class activities and also one-to-one or small group reading and math practice. Students also love playing with WatchDOGS during recess!
Sign up to volunteer here: WatchDOGS.
