Action Item

  • Maxmimize every instructional moment. You have daily learning targets and you have end of the year learning targets (SOLs, PALS). Every instructional move is in this direction. The pictures I included this week are a few of the many examples I noticed around the building.

  • Alignment: Selection of activities and questions that prepare students for how the curriculum standard is assessed.

Thank you to the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade teachers for responding to the VADOE SOL Analysis Discussion Board. There were some smart ideas that we can implement in our classrooms.

A marvelous performance by the Fort Eustis band. Thank you Mr. Joyner for setting this up. They will be invited back because this was a world class performance and we need all of our students to see this. Our fourth and first graders got to see them this week.

Third grade readers. At the end of the day, if we illuminate the light bulb of joy of reading, they will all be successful at whatever we ask them to do.
