Teacher / Staff Appreciation
Our entire staff greatly appreciated the wonderful lunch provided by our PTO families last week. As always, the dishes were fantastic. Also, we want to share a special note of appreciation to PTO President Jessy Barone for her and each of our PTO officers' - Laurie Bernardi, Margie Groht and Hope Sattazahn - incredible efforts and support.
Thanks to your ongoing collection of BoxTops, JMS recently received a check for over $250 for student activities! The last day to submit Box Tops to win the pizza party is May 26th.
Summerfest-Camp for Students in Grades 2-8
Wamogo High School is pleased to announce that for the upcoming summer of 2017, we are running our very own summer program: Summerfest.
This is a 6 week long camp-style program that is 4 days a week (Monday - Thursday) from 9am - 2pm, and runs from June 26th - August 3rd. Sessions are split into 2 week increments and you may sign your child up for multiple sessions if you so choose. Summerfest is open to all Region 6 students of all ability levels in grades 2 - 8. The cost is $75 per week per child with transportation available from central locations for participants. July 5-7 is a shortened week and costs $50.
Summerfest features tons of fun, daily activities led by a team of peer leaders, which include: outdoor sports, classic camp games, arts and crafts, music and drama, water carnivals, cooking, gardening, STEM, dance, team building games, and much more.

Summer Garden Maintenance
Over the next few weeks, JMS students will be sowing seeds and transplanting plants into the Giving Garden for this year’s growing season!
Through sustainable, organic practices the garden brings life-long, authentic learning into the lives of our students who work hard to collaboratively bring the garden to life. Throughout the summer, the delicious, nutritious produce is enjoyed by those in need at area soup kitchens and by families maintaining the garden. Upon arrival back to school in the fall, students enjoy the freshly picked produce and the JMS community is invited to join us at our Harvest Luncheon to enjoy the dishes each class freshly prepared.
The outreach, celebrations, and success of the garden will not be possible without the help of families helping to maintain the garden during the summer.
We are seeking families to sign-up for one week. Consider sharing the week with another family! If your family is able to help, please fill out this form
