Army Trail Community:

I am looking forward to and excited about the 2022-2023 school year at Army Trail! Our theme for this year will be "Forward Together." Our journey begins on August 17 for all first through fifth graders and on August 19 for all Kindergarteners.

Army Trail School exists to educate, empower, inspire, and impact others. While this is our mission, we all share the responsibility to ensure that our students are successful academically, emotionally, and socially this year. Army Trail will continue to provide a safe and supportive environment and a rigorous curriculum. Army Trail families will share the responsibility of supporting learning every day by:

• Ensuring that your student(s) attend school regularly and is on time
• Checking your child's assignment notebook nightly
• Communicating with your student's teacher when necessary
• Reading to your child or ensuring your child reads independently for 20 minutes each night

On the first day of school, students will enter the building through Doors 6 or 7 and head directly to their classroom. We will continue to have a late start on Mondays. Please do not drop off students before the listed arrival times, as there is no supervision available. Please see the attached Important Information document for more information.

For the safety of all Army Trail students and staff is essential that ALL VISITORS must enter through Door 1. If you come into the school for any reason, you must bring a valid photo ID to the Main Office to check-in. ALL IDs are then processed through our Visitor Identification System. Once processed, the system will print a visitor badge that all visitors must wear.

Additionally, we are excited to continue offering all Army Trail students free breakfast and lunch daily this year. There is additional information in the attached packet, so please take a few minutes and read it thoroughly. Please check Remind, Seesaw, Skyward, email, our website, and social media accounts regularly for other information and updates. We received another generous donation of backpacks and school supplies from Mission Church for the 2022-2023 School year. On Thursday, August 4, from 12:00-3:00, Army Trail will be giving away backpacks and school supplies for any students still in need of school supplies! If you still need school supplies, please come to Door 2 on the East side of the building to receive the backpacks full of supplies. We have a limited quantity of backpacks, so it is first come, first serve.

We are still working on registering students and finalizing class lists! Class lists will be availibe for registered families on Monday, August 8. Any students not fully registered will not receive their class assignement. Please be on the lookout for additional information.

Please review the attached document for information on school times, arrival and dismissal information, attendance, along with other important information.

Please plan on joining us on September 8 from 6:00 to 7:30 for Curriculum Night at Army Trail. During this event, you will have the opportunity to learn what is happening at Army Trail, tour the school, and meet your student's teachers.

Army Trail will remain a CEP school where all students will receive free lunch and breakfast. Regardless of status, any student that requests a lunch or breakfast will receive one free of charge. Despite this, we still encourage families to complete a Household Eligibility Application as this determines additional funding that we can recieve as a school. The application can be completed and turned into the Army Trail Office. The applications can be found attached or in the Army Trail Office. The application also be sumbitted online using the link below.
