One of the great culinary traditions!

Indian food reflects many different cultures in its tremendous diversity. Indian food ranges from simple vegetarian meals to full-flavoured meat, chicken, and fish dishes made with over a dozen ingredients. Spices are KEY to Indian cooking. Each region in India has it own specialties inspired by race, religion, history, and geography.


A samosa is a fried or baked pastry with a savory filling such as potatoes, onions, peas, ground chicken, or many others. They are typically triangular. Samosas are a popular appetizer or snack in India and other countries such as South Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Southwest Asia, North and South Africa, and the Mediterranean.

-Generally eat with their hands

-Will not eat beef (religious beliefs)

-Highest number of vegetarians in the world

-Always eat with their right hand, left hand is considered unclean
