Skyview School of STEM
September 18, 2023
From the Principal's Desk
Hello Skyview families,
We will be having our first PTAC/SAC meeting on Wednesday, September 27 from 5:00-6:00. We will have both online and in person options for individuals to join as we discuss our school’s goals and Unified Improvement Plan (UIP) for the school year. This plan includes our focused goals around continued growth as a school community. Please use this link to join virtually or call the front office at 970-686-8500 to RSVP and meet in person.
Fall conferences will be on the weeks of October 23 and 30 with later evening options on October 25 and 30. Teachers will be reaching out to our families to schedule a meeting time to discuss how your children are doing in school as well as goals as we look ahead. Due to the number of families we serve, we are only able to accommodate one conference time per child. We appreciate your help in scheduling a single time.
Our parent volunteer program, Falcon Eyes, (formerly Watch DOGS) had their first parent interest event last week. We are excited to get vigilant adults in our school to support safety on our campus. If you are still interested in volunteering with Skyview in this capacity, please reach out to our front office at 970-686-8500 or to Dan Cooper at danielcooper55@gmail.com
There are many ways to support our school community. If you are interested in being a substitute at our school, please follow the steps on our Weld RE4 website or call the front office for support in signing up.
Thank you for continuing to trust us with your children. Skyview is a wonderful place to be, and our community is a significant part of our success. Have a great week.
Sincerely,
Evan Netzer
Skyview Principal
Don't forget!
Relay for Life Spirit Day
September 28 will be our first Relay for Life Spirit Day. The theme for our first day is "Dress Western". Students and staff are encouraged to get out those boots, hats and western apparel. We ask that all of our "buckaroos" send in a donation of $1. All money will be donated to the American Cancer Society to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research and patient support.
