What is Quizlet?
Spelling/content vocabulary
Spelling Test will be replaced by Content Vocabulary Test. The words listed are words students will come across in 4th grade level books. Reading comprehension breaks down when students see words and have no idea of their meaning. Most students are now reading on 4th grade level and need to be taught these words. If they use the flashcards on quizlet, it will provide them a good study tool. The flashcards from the previous weeks are available as a download on my website. If you would like your child to retake a Voc. Test, they may study the cards and we will find time this week to let them retest. If you would like me to print the cards for you, I would be happy to do that!
1. Study the reading vocabulary flashcards #3 on quizlet. The link is:
https://quizlet.com/133295865/flashcards
Test over these words on Friday.
2. After you have studied the words on quizlet, then complete the 4 assignments on Spelling City. The name of the assignment on Spelling City is Reading Content Set 3.
Social Studies
Science
Please have your child practice their TED talk. We need it to be spoken without notes. It doesn't need to be memorized word for word, but almost! We are videoing students this week using a green screen app called Touch Cast. Many skills are incorporated into this lesson! I gave each child a copy of their TED Talk on their way out of class Friday, so they have it to revise if needed and practice.
