Morgan is "Mor-Gan" just a man with a big nose


  • Morgan was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut to Junius Spencer Morgan and Juliet Pierpont.

  • J.P. had a varied education due in part to his father's’ interference.

  • In 1851 Morgan was accepted to English High School.

  • In spring, 1852 Morgan became ill with rheumatic fever, causing him pain, making him unable to walk.

  • After his recovery his father then sent him to many schools overseas, ending his studies in London.

Tactic's to Achieve Success

Tactic #1: Bought out Carnegies holdings in the steel business.

Tactic #2: Stayed with the corporation he invested in.

Tactic #3: Refused to lend money to anyone.


He is many times portrayed in films, tv shows, or cartoons. A 1950s singer who went by the name "Jaye P Morgan" got a lot of populatity by using the name.
