Background
Morgan was born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut to Junius Spencer Morgan and Juliet Pierpont.
J.P. had a varied education due in part to his father's’ interference.
In 1851 Morgan was accepted to English High School.
In spring, 1852 Morgan became ill with rheumatic fever, causing him pain, making him unable to walk.
- After his recovery his father then sent him to many schools overseas, ending his studies in London.

Tactic #1: Bought out Carnegies holdings in the steel business.

Legacy
He is many times portrayed in films, tv shows, or cartoons. A 1950s singer who went by the name "Jaye P Morgan" got a lot of populatity by using the name.
