Turkey Talk
This Week
We talked a lot about turkeys and Thanksgiving this week! At circle time, we read books about families, played pin the feather on the turkey, and sang about 5 little turkeys. We put little chips into a turkey's mouth, colored turkeys different colors, traced the letter T, made turkey feathers with watercolors, thought about patterns, and sequenced big, medium, and small turkeys. We also cut out squirrels and put them in, on, and under a tree.
During P.E., we played leap the brook, in which we practiced leaping over a jumprope on the grass. We also practiced going up and down stairs with alternating feet, and then we headed to the toddler playground to explore different bikes and slides. On Thursday, we had a party for Ms. Michelle's birthday and Ms. Jennifer's last day. Ms. Jennifer has been a wonderful OT assistant and we will miss her! The kids enjoyed the send off by playing with balloons and our friends from Ms. Julie's class.
