Polar Express Literacy Night--December 15th!
Greetings Parents,
We are very excited about the upcoming Polar Express Night on December 15th! This is our annual literacy event and our scholars look forward to all the fun and learning we have in store.
We are in need of donations and would appreciate parent assistance leading up to the event and decorating the afternoon of the event!
The list of items we need are at this link: https://www.thingstogetme.com/569029a81d93
If you are able to pick up some items to donate, please indicate your name and the amount of items you are kindly bringing to school. The list should update as people sign up.
If you are able to help set up from 4p-5p on the day of the event, please email Mrs. Hammel at dpickett@springisd.org. All hands are welcome.
We appreciate your support!
Don't Forget...12 Days of Christmas Activities!!
Update to the December Calendar...
Parents,
In a previous newsletter, we indicated TES would host a Donuts with Dads on Monday, December 5th. Unfortunately, that date was incorrect and we will not have Donuts for Dad on Monday, however, this event will be rescheduled for the Spring semester.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Amerson
Congratulations TES Scholars!!
Parents,
Our district held a ST Math competition from 10/24/2022 to 11/18/2022, where scholars in grades K-5 competed to see which campus would complete the most puzzles on ST Math, our online math intervention platform.
Well I am excited to announce, Thompson scholars came in 3rd place with 107,386 puzzles completed!
This is a huge deal because our scholars competed against ALL the elementary schools in SISD and therefore we will have a special visit from JiJi, the ST Math mascot!
Congratulations scholars and thank you parents for your continued support!
