Parking Lot Safety/W4 Now Open!
Earlier in November, we sent out a message by email to ask for your help in making our parking lot safer. Part of this plan, on the school's part, was to put up more signage and hopefully that helps everyone know where they can park and where not to park. I also want to let you know that using the west parking lot is another option if you haven't used that in the past. The west side doors (W4) are now open from 3-3:30 so you have the ability to use that entrance when picking up your child(ren).
Thank you for helping make our parking lot safe for all!

PTO Thanks YOU!
THANK YOU!
The PTO would like to thank everyone for supporting the fall fundraiser this year! Thanks to you, we raised over $18,000! These funds will be used to provide support to our students, staff, and schools through field trips, special programs, and technology needs to name just a few. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of the volunteers that helped make this fundraiser a success. All of your efforts are greatly appreciated, whether it was counting and tallying orders, unloading and sorting the orders for pickup, or any of the many other details that go into having a successful fundraiser. We couldn’t have done it without your help!

News from Our Nurse~ When Should I Keep My Child Home From School Because of Illness?
As a general guideline, keep your child home if they:
Have a fever above 100.4 F (keep child home for 24 hours after the fever has resolved without medication).
Are not well enough to participate in class
May be contagious to others
Specific reasons to keep your child home:
Vomiting/Diarrhea- A child with vomiting and/or diarrhea needs to stay home until symptoms have stopped and child can eat a regular diet
Rash- A rash with symptoms such as trouble breathing or swallowing, fever or your child appears ill should be evaluated by a doctor
Sore throat- Children can attend school with a mild sore throat. If your child has a sore throat with fever, vomiting, abdominal pain, or difficulty swallowing he/she should be seen by a doctor. A child with strep throat needs to stay out of school until on antibiotics for 24 hours
Cough- A cough that interferes with your child’s ability to sleep or participate in school activities.
Head Lice- Keep child home until treatment completed and child has changed into clean clothes.
Pink eye- For pink eye caused by bacteria, children should stay home for 24 hours after antibiotics begin if they cannot avoid touching their eye. Symptoms of pink eye include eye redness, swelling and drainage.
