A Message From Mrs. Burko
I hope each of you is doing well.
Thank you to the PTSA, local businesses and individuals who donated to help us celebrate our teachers this week during Teacher Appreciation Week.
As we head in to May, don't forget that EOC/EOG testing is just around the corner. HERE is the testing letter that was sent to all families and HERE is an easy to read schedule of when students should be in the building for testing. Please continue to reach out should you have any questions.
The last day of school will be June 8th.
Thank you and have a great week,
Mrs. Burko
8th Grade Families
Good Evening 8th Grade Families!
It’s hard to believe it is already the end of the 2020-2021 school year and we are counting down the days until our 8th graders officially become 9th graders. In a year of unprecedented circumstances, I want to be the first to tell our 8th graders how proud of them I am for their perseverance in light of such unusual circumstances. As we prepare to close out the school year, it is only right that we send them off in style with a walk-through promotion ceremony.
This year’s 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 5th. The ceremony will include certificates, pictures, gift bags and a few other surprises as we celebrate the many accomplishments of our 8th graders and wish them well into high school.
The ceremony will be walk through and families will be assigned a timed window for promotion based on their last name. The times are below:
9:00am-10:00am: last names starting with the letters A-C
11:00am-12:00pm: last names starting with the letters D-J
1:00pm-2:00pm: last names starting with the letters K-Q
3:00-4:00pm: last names starting with the letters R-Z
For each ceremony we will be following social distancing, health screening and masking guidance in accordance with the NC Safe Schools ToolKit. As we strive to ensure the safety of all staff, students and their families, please complete THIS survey to help us plan accordingly.
Students will be receiving an email in the next few days to a Google Classroom that has been created as a place for students to upload a few pictures of their time at Culbreth. The pictures will be used to create a digital video for students of their time here.
Thank you again for your continued support of your student and the rest of the Culbreth Community. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.
Yours in Service,
Mrs. April Burko
Principal
