Big IDEA: We are proud to share BMMS Big I.D.E.A. with YOU! IDEA stands for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Awareness. Here is our mission statement: Black Mountain’s Big I.D.E.A. Committee will create opportunities for our students, educators and families to engage in conversations, develop plans, and take actions that promote inclusion, diversity, equity and awareness as it relates to our Black Mountain community. Our first is Tuesday, September 28, 6pm. To join the Big IDEA, please submit your name to this form: https://bit.ly/3kw41LO Those who fill out the form will be sent a Zoom link for the meeting. The bigger the Big IDEA, the better!
Students on Campus in the Mornings: We have supervision on campus Mondays starting at 8:25am and Tuesdays-Fridays starting at 7:10am. Gates, including the MC Gate, will open at that time to let students in.
Pick Up and Drop Off: Students should be picked up and dropped off on BMMS’s campus. If you are picking up your student from Sunset Hills, the area in front of the SHES MPR between the flagpole and the SHES east driveway will be designated for BMMS students as they wait for pick up. Students can’t be on their campus after 3:10pm. If a parent hasn’t been picked up their student by 3:10pm, they will be escorted back onto BMMS’s campus. We thank you for your support.
Picture Day: Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 is picture day! Students will take their picture during their PE class. Pictures are available for purchase, Click on Order Form.
ASES (Before and After School Education)
Does your child need after school help? ASES provides a great place for students to finish up homework or studying. Students have access to Chromebooks, school supplies, and school textbooks. ASES also provides activities that teach social-emotional and life skills.
