Redington Sr. Jr/Sr High School - Wasilla, Alaska

Redington Sr. Jr/Sr High School

***Redington Nation***

We are rapidly approaching the end of the 3rd Quarter! High School spring sports (including Baseball, Softball, Soccer, and Track and Field) will be starting their official practices right after Spring Break. Please remember that Academic Eligibility check will be conducted the first week we are back.

High School athletes must carry a 2.0GPA and must be passing the requisite number of classes in order to participate (Freshman-Juniors must be enrolled in five classes, Seniors on track to graduate must be enrolled in four classes).

When calculating GPA an I (or Incompete) listed on a grade report counts as an F.

If you need assistance with ParentVue and checking your student's grades, please contact the Registrar or visit https://www.matsuk12.us/registration for more information.

News from the Library

Beginning the week of March 20th, our library billing system will automatically connect to SchoolPay online. This new process should streamline billing when needed for damaged or missing school materials and simplify payments for you. If your child currently has a bill for a missing, lost, or damaged library material or Chromebook, a payment option will automatically be created in your child’s SchoolPay online account. If you see a duplicate charge or a payment option for something you’ve already paid, please contact our school office right away. If a charge appears for library materials you were not expecting, please contact the school library for assistance. Once payment has been made, your child’s library account should automatically be updated and borrowing privileges will be restored. While we hope this process goes smoothly, sometimes things come up that we’re not expecting. We appreciate your patience as we adjust to this new integration of technology.

From the Registrar - Boundary Exemptions

The electronic Boundary Exempt form for the 2023-24 school year will be available in ParentVUE beginning February 15th. Information for families is available on the website under PrentVUE/Registration. Boundary Exemptions will be reviewed, and you will be contacted in the fall regarding your Boundary Exemption status.

If your student is attending Redington on a boundary exemption you will need to fill out a NEW Boundary Exemption application for the 2023-2024 school year.

If you need instructions on how to apply for your 2023-2024 Boundary Exemption you can find them by clicking on this link:

https://www.matsuk12.us/cms/lib/AK01000953/Centricity/Domain/56/ParentVUE%20Boundary%20Exemption%20Process%20V3.pdf

This online boundary exempt application needs to be completed for our records at RJS and for the MSBSD Transportation office.

Please note that applications will be reviewed in August 2023, and you will receive an email or a phone call regarding your approval or denial at that time. Thank you for your help in completing this process before you submit your regular online registration.
