2023-24 NPBBA BOARD ELECTIONS
Want to help steer the direction of the New Palestine Band Programs?
Now is your chance! It's time to build the ballot for the 2023-24 NPBBA Board of Directors elections that will take place on April 26th. As is the case each year - every seat will be voted on, and awarded to the person that receives the most votes.
If you would like to run for a seat - or if you have questions about joining the Board - please reach out to our Nominating Committee: Alan Ausbrooks (current/outgoing Community Liaison) or Amy Wood (current/outgoing Secretary).
President - leads meetings and keeps the direction of the program on track
Vice-President - supports the Prez where needed
Secretary - records the official minutes for board meetings
Treasurer - counts all (ALL!) the beans ;)
Student Accounts Coordinator - tracks & collects student dues
Concessions Coordinator - makes sure our responsibilities for concessions are handled
Fundraising Coordinator - finds and maintains opportunities to raise funds for the program
Sponsorship Coordinator - manages our awesome sponsors and looks for new ones
Community Liaison - manages emails, social media, and the band website
In addition to the independent roles and responsibilities, the Board of Directors meet about once a month to be sure all is well in the land of our portion of the NPHS Performing Arts.
Election Notes
It is the intention to hold this years elections In-Person for Voting Boosters, rather than be virtual, as has been the case since 2020.
(Voting Boosters are comprised of parents or guardians of middle and high school students
participating in all High School band and guard programs of the Community School Corporation of
Southern Hancock County.)
