FREE Environmental Film Viewing
FILM: "A Fierce Green Fire-The Battle for a Living Planet"
The Valpo Chain of Lakes Watershed Group will host a complimentary environmental film viewing at the Porter County Administration Building, 155 Indiana Ave., Valparaiso, IN. on Monday, July 15th at 7 PM.
Written, directed and produced by Academy Award-nominee Mark Kitchell, A Fierce Green Fire first premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and has won acclaim worldwide. This passionate documentary was the first big-picture exploration of the environmental movement. Narrated by Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Ashley Judd, Van Jones Isabel Allendale, the movie spans 50 years of grassroots and global activism. The film is told in several acts, featuring archival footage and interviews, including Lois Gibbs, who gained national recognition for her environmental work.

Aaron Corn, Attorney with the Hoosier Environmental Council will be available afterwards for further discussion at an informal Q & A, along with Larry Davis, founding member of People Against Hazardous Landfill Sites and the provider of the film.

Join us Monday, July 15, 2019 at the Porter County Government Center. The 7pm movie will be preceded by a 6pm business meeting of the Valpo Chain of Lakes Group which is also open to the public including those who live outside of the lakes area.
Q & A at Greek's pizza after lecture
The lecture will be followed by a Q & A session next door at Greek’s Pizza. The event is free and open to the public. (Donations are welcomed, but not required)
