FREE Training at the Conference Center at W-FL BOCES in Newark, NY
This two-day, ten-hour, training course provides an overview of what it means to be a substitute teacher and provides skills to help substitutes work with students.

Qualifications for Substitutes
For those interested in substitute work, attendance does not guarantee a job, but should increase your confidence and your chances in obtaining substitute work. It is recommended that you include a copy of your two-day training completion certificate provided at the end of the training with your applications to school districts.
