A Note from the Principal
Meet the Teacher Night was a success! It was so amazing to see students and families in our hallways once again! A delayed start to our school year due to the heat was not what we had planned, but we are ready to go come Monday.
I am asking you to partner with us to keep all of our students and faculty/staff safe and healthy. How can you help?
- Conduct daily health checks each morning to assess whether your child is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, including a temperature of 100 degrees or above.
- Please keep your child at home if he/she is sick.
- Update your emergency contacts and make sure you have provided accurate information.
- Make sure your child has at least two masks each day.
- Practice physical distancing.
- Practice good hand hygiene.
- Talk to your child about the importance of the items mentioned above.
Each person's vigilance is needed to mitigate risks and to ensure a safe and healthy learning environment for our students and faculty/staff.
Enjoy these last few, unexpected days of summer and see you on Monday!
Blessings,
Diane Raguz, Principal

A Message from Mrs. Consolo, Cafeteria Manager
There will be an addition to the hot lunch menu this year. If a child doesn't want to purchase the daily hot lunch, we will be offering another healthy option for them. They can purchase a Garden Salad and Breadstick for the same price as the hot lunch. All they have to do is tell their teacher they will be getting a salad, go through the hot lunch line as normal and scan their finger letting the cashier know they will be purchasing a salad. They will then pick up salad/breadstick/dressing from the server and return to their seat.
Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union Grant Awarded
We are delighted to announce that we won a $500 grant from Ohio Catholic Federal Credit Union this year! Ohio Catholic FCU awarded $60,500 in Catholic School Grants this year to 44 Catholic schools throughout the Dioceses of Cleveland, Youngstown, Steubenville, and Cincinnati. Our plan is to use the grant to help with the cost of social-emotional programs for grades 3-5.
Ohio Catholic FCU also gave away $25,000 in tuition scholarships for students attending Catholic schools for the 2021-2022 school year. In fact, over the past eight years, they have awarded more than $850,000 to Catholic schools in the form of grants, scholarships, and charitable donations.
As the largest faith-based, full-service credit union in the state, Ohio Catholic FCU proudly serves the everyday banking and loan needs of over 11,000 members. Members choose Ohio Catholic FCU for their low loan rates, personal service, and how they give back generously to the communities where members live, work, and worship.
If you want to bank with a credit union that fully supports Catholic education, give them a call at (888) 696-4462 or visit OhioCatholicFCU.com. Tell them SPB sent you!

Ladies Guild Wine and Cheese Social and Meeting
The Ladies Guild invites ALL women of the parish and school to our annual Wine and Cheese Social and Meeting on Thursday, September 9th at 7pm in the Eymard Room. Playground Volunteers Needed-Grades 6-7-8
We are asking that each family (mom, dad, grandma, etc.) choose at least two days to volunteer each time slot being 11:15 am-12:50 pm. There are many, many time slots open! We are so grateful for the help!
This is a great way for you to interact with your child and his/her classmates during the school day! Recess Volunteers should arrive to school at 11:10 and check in at the office. Duties will include supervising students at recess, escorting the students to and from the school doors. Volunteers will be with one school staff member each day to help direct.
Remember that after your two volunteer time slots, you are done for the year, as each month is assigned to a different grade.
COVID-19 Volunteer Protocol: all recess volunteers are required to wear a mask when in the building.
Thank you again for your time and service to the students and teachers of SPB! Simply click on the following links to sign up: Grade 8, Grade 7, Grade 6
