Logo Retirement Reception!
Camden Glenn, WGHS c/o 2015
Our goal was to create a logo that best represents Hixson as a whole based off of Luciano Montes’s amazing design. Thanks to the feedback from students and staff, we were able to workshop and produce a logo that reaches said goal. As the Jr. Statesmen, I wanted to make sure the logo contained elements that were familiar to the WGHS logo such as the top hat and varsity letter style. However, the blocky structure of traditional varsity lettering does not best represent middle school students. So, I altered the “H” to have more motion and curvature to compliment the student’s energy, adventurousness, and wonderment. As a former Hixson student, I am very honored to play a part in the school’s advancement.

Meet & Eat - Statesmen Do Lunch!
The Hixson counselors would like to invite our virtual students to “Meet and Eat: Statesmen Do Lunch!” Meet and Eat will be a weekly lunch that is held for our virtual students via Zoom. Our purpose is to help students with support and also give them time to socialize and play games with peers that are also virtual. The meetings will be held during all lunches on every Wednesday of the month and will begin next Wednesday on February 10th. Feel free to join with snacks or a meal for lunchtime.
Please also indicate your interest in participating by submitting this form to us. Parents, if you are filling out this form for your child, please respond to the questions as if you were your child. We will send the Zoom link to all students who sign up, so please sign up ASAP!
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Del’Brica Flowers (flowers.delbrica@wgmail.org) or Christy Keating (keating.christy@wgmail.org).
