"Trust in God who helps you in all things."
St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop
From the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers
As the term draws to a close we reflect back on what has been another busy and fulfilling term with many wonderful learning and extra-curricular opportunities for our children and families.
I would like to thank our teachers and education assistants for all their hard work. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated staff who go above and beyond for our students. I would also like to thank our office staff, Lorraine, Cassandra and Narelle who work incredibly hard to ensure that administratively the school runs smoothly. Finally a big thank you to all our families for working in partnership with us to educate your children. We also greatly appreciate the big and small ways you volunteer to assist us in delivering all that is on offer at St Columba’s.
Today we farewell Mrs Susannah Robinson. Susannah has been at St Columba’s for the last 5 years, two years in the role of classroom teacher and three years in the role of Assistant Principal. We acknowledge and thank her for her commitment and dedication to our students and the school. Her passion and energy will be missed. We wish her everything of the very best for her future endeavours.
St Columba’s Parish is seeking Catechists to join the Parish Religious Education Program team. This is a wonderful opportunity to volunteer your time and share your faith with the children of this parish. If you are interested but require more details, Connie Carroll the current Catechist co-ordinator is more than happy to speak to you about the role. Please contact the front office for Mrs Carroll’s telephone details.
We have been busy putting together Religious Education boxes for each classroom and would like to include 4 pieces of fabric for the classroom prayer tables that reflect the different liturgical seasons. The fabric needs cutting and overlocking. If you are able to assist please contact me, we would be most grateful for your sewing skills and time.
All that remains is for me to wish you and your family happy and safe school holidays and we look forward to seeing everyone back for the start of the final term on Tuesday 15 October 2019.
May God Bless you and your family.

Does your local club or business have a notice board or newsletter?
Help us advertise Kindy 2020 places that have become available.
Due to an unusually high number of enrolled families moving out of Perth or interstate, a few Kindergarten places have become available for 2020. Our Kindy is usually booked up two years in advance, so this presents an opportunity for local families who may have missed the 2020 interviews.
Help the school by placing our Kindy Enrolment poster on your local notice board or including it in your newsletter. Download a copy to print, or contact the school to have one sent home with your child. Thanks for your support!
