Our Family Had a Wedding
On May 8th, our oldest son, Stephen, married a beautiful young lady named Crystal. They had been dating for four years, and they both have graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. We are proud to have Crystal as a new member of our family, and we are looking forward to the day that they find their way back to Texas to live.
After the wedding, David flew to St. Lucia. He and another IC missionary, Steve Farris, met with and trained pastors in St. Lucia for an International Commission project that will be held in the spring of 2016.
Pastor Natvin Goolaman, wife Fifi, and several church members
Pastor Natvin has been a wonderful help and contact in St. Lucia.
St. Lucian Pastors, along with David and Steve, working together to prepare for an International Commission project
The week after St. Lucia, David went on to Dominica to participate in an evangelistic project with a group from Wayland Baptist University. They not only shared their testimonies in homes, with church youth groups, and even to a soccer team and coach, but they also were able to sing and present the gospel in several schools.
This is part of a note written by one of the WBU students. Mission trips mutually encourage the local church and the U.S. church member.
David recently went to Jamaica to meet with the Director of Missions there. The churches in Jamaica have asked for help with an International Commission project. A project has been set up for September in Jamaica, but we are in need of more volunteers. September is approaching fast, and if we do not get a few more people to sign up for this trip, the trip will probably be canceled.
If you read this and feel the Lord calling you to go on this trip from September 19-28, please contact David at David.Wong@IC-World.org. David will be going, and he would love to work along side you.
