My Faith/Your Faith Kick-Off Under the Sukkah

Sunday, Oct. 4th, 1-3pm

28 Gramercy Park South

New York, NY

Our first meeting as a MF/YF community will take place under the sukkah at Brotherhood Synagogue. We'll use this meeting to get to know each other, create some community goals and norms, and learn a bit about the Jewish harvest festival of Sukkot.

Please note, due to a death in the famly, Ruben will not be at our first event, but Brotherhood Synagogue Education Director, Phil Rothman will lead the programming instead.

Humans of Tel Aviv: A Look at Pluralism in the Holy Land

Sunday, Oct. 25th, 1-3pm

980 Park Avenue

New York, NY

Three weeks later, we'll meet at St. Ignatius Loyola Church. We will receive a private presentation from Erez Kaganovitz, the founder of Humans of Tel Aviv, a sort of Humans of New York spin-off which reaches more than 350,000 people each month via social media. Erez will talk to us about his experience as a photojournalist and share his unique perspective on life in Israel, a complex country that is home to the world's three major monotheistic religions.

Through dialogue, community service and the celebration of holidays, My Faith/Your Faith cohort members challenge each other to think broadly about their individual faiths in the context of a diverse community dedicated to creating a better world.
