Language
Students tried to make sense of Dr. Seuss' nonsensical vocabulary using context clues.
Art
Third graders made Lorax hats and spent a lot of time "speaking for the trees."
Writing
Children took the lesson from The Sneetches to write about fair and equal behavior.
DR. SEUSS DAY--Friday, March 3
LEARNING
Students learned about the importance of saving the environment in The Lorax.
Creativity
Students enjoyed creating their own Lorax hats.
SEEDS
Every child received sunflower seeds to encourage plant growth and conservation.
ACTIVITIES
The third graders began in their own classrooms, and then rotated through the activities in each different room.
CREATING
In one room, the students were able to create their own "truffula trees"!
FRIENDS
The kids loved working and socializing with friends at the same time.
Singing
The students sounded beautiful singing the many songs they have been practicing.
Family
The third grade teachers were thrilled to see the huge number of students and family members that were able to make the concert!
Recorders
Mr. Roberts did a great job teaching the students how to play their recorders.
