Student Reward
On Monday I asked our students to be respectful and kind to our volunteers during the staff Christmas lunch. Our volunteers reported that our kids were awesome and helpful. So as a small thank you, we will be out of uniform the first day back from break (Wednesday, January 3).
Thank You Wagner's Village Inn
Wagner's Village Inn donated Fried Chicken to our staff Christmas lunch. Thank you to Ginger and her staff for taking care of us. It was delicious!

Kindness--pass it on!
Did you know that kindness is WAY more than doing something nice? Being kind, and expecting nothing in return, can actually make you healthy, too!
Based on our kindness chain, there are a lot of smiles and positive energy here at SLS. Check out the attached short research synopsis at your leisure, and continue to enjoy the beauty of sharing kindness.
Locks of Love
Steubenville Youth Conference
The Steubenville Youth Conference is open to all Catholic teens in 8th-12th grades as of Fall 2017. We live in a world where there are voices shouting at us from all sides, trying to tell us who we are and who we aren’t, who we should be and who we shouldn’t be. If we pay too much attention to these voices, it won’t be long before we forget our true identity altogether. But amidst all the noise is our loving Father, who wants to make Himself known to us and speak truth about who we are.
God’s love is deeper and His plan for our lives is greater than anything the world has to offer – will we allow Him to reveal it to us? This summer, over 50,000 Catholic teens across North America will participate in 25 Steubenville Youth Conferences, and we want you to be one of them! Come experience the love of God in a new and more profound way. He has so much in store for you. June 15-17, 2018. Registrations are now open.
To register go to http://www.stlouis-batesville.org/ym__steubenville, email TeamJesusSteubenville@gmail.com, or call Carrie Wesseler (812)212-9477 or Angie Moster (812)212-7026. Thank you!
Thank you to our little "elf" who made presents to put under our tiny office trees! This made them look much more festive!

String Theory - Quality Affordable Music For Your Festival
String Theory was formed in 2016 and is comprised of former members of The Remains
and Haymarket Riot, two of Cincinnati’s most respected bands. We focus on classic rock
material from artists such as The Beatles, Eagles, CSN, America, Queen, Neil Young, Pink
Floyd, Simon and Garfunkle as well as some contemporary artists like Jason Mraz, Mumford
and Sons and Phil Phillips.
The four members of the group have over 100 years of performing experience and our focus
is to provide high quality entertainment for budget conscious parishes. There are a number of
bands that perform the festival circuit that are outside the budgets of most parishes. Our goal
is to service the smaller parishes and help them by supplying a quality evening of music and
working with your budgets to make it work for you. I am from a smaller parish in Cincinnati so
I know first hand how challenging this is.
Please feel free to contact me when you begin planning your festival for 2018. We would love to
have the opportunity to work with you.
Thank You,
Pete Ellerhorst
