What's Up in the Tech World
Welcome to May!
Hi all! I have included a video explaining how to use the Chromecast that we are putting in your classrooms. By replacing the docking stations with Chromecasts, we hope to free you up to move around the classroom. It also frees you to use your phone or iPad as well as your laptop.
Please check out the Raptor experience below. It looks like so much fun! I also included a blog post with a listing of Mathematics standards. I really liked the way they are presented.
I will be at Lower Campus on Monday and Wednesday this week and Upper on Tuesday and Thursday. Have a great week!
Raptor Experience
Starting May 1st, Mike Billington of the University of Minnesota Raptor Center will engage your students on topics covering birds, science, and the environment. Students and teachers of all ages are welcome to participate. Over a two-week period beginning May 1st, Mike will share unique facts about predator birds as well as engage your students in topics related to science and the environment.
- May 1: Topic One - What is a common bird in your community? What can you do to support their environment?
Eight Math Standards
I love the descriptions of the math standards provided by Alice Keeler. She created a really cool infographic which is posted on her blog. Here a link to the blog post and the actual infographic.
