Pajama Drive Thank You

Dear PVS Families,

As our pajama drive recently came to a close, we would like to take a moment to express our tremendous gratitude to everyone who helped make it a great success. Your efforts brought in 109 pairs of pajamas that Scholastic Book Clubs will match with a brand-new book.

Scholastic’s Pajama Program helps children in need by promoting and supporting them with a comforting bedtime routine consisting of cozy pajamas (which you generously provided), inspiring storybooks, and critical resources for caregivers. With your help, the children we support can enjoy the greatest benefit of a loving bedtime and peaceful good night: a fulfilling good day.

Thank you for your support. Your donations are greatly appreciated.

Have a wonderful holiday season,

Miss Olivia Langerhans & Mrs. Stacie Brown

One School, One Book

Mrs. Lewin has announced Pleasant Valley's next One School, One Book selection - Bob by Wendy Mass! The goal of the One School - One Book initiative is to have our whole school community reading and talking about the same book at the same time. Additionally, we are excited to host the author in February. You can access the complete letter from Mrs. Lewin HERE. If you would like to order the book or others by Wendy Mass, please access the order form HERE.

Wreaths Across America

Harrison Elementary is preparing for Wreaths Across America on December 12, 2019. The school is a stop on the wreaths' journey to Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC. Wreaths Across America is an organization that makes a commitment each year to remember our fallen US Veterans, honor those who serve, and teach children the value of freedom by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies. You can learn more about the organization from the website, Please click HERE for communications regarding the upcoming event.

Every year, Harrison Township School District sponsors a “Giving Tree” in the lobbies of both of our schools which helps families right here in town. This year, we would like to collect Walmart gift cards only, so that parents will be able to buy clothing, toys, and other supplies, such as food if needed. We would like to be able to give parents $100 worth of Walmart gift cards per child. Since this usually helps about 130 children, our goal is to raise $13,000 again this year.

When you enter the building, you will notice trees up in the lobbies of both schools, with ornaments attached. If you would like to contribute toward this project, please take an ornament, and return with your gift card donation. If you are unable to get up to the school to obtain an ornament, please feel free to send in your donated gift cards as well. We ask that all donations be returned to the schools by the week of December 9th-13th, which would enable us to distribute to the families. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate any additional gift donations, only gift cards, due to space constraints.

Thank you in advance for your help with this project. If you have any questions, please contact the HTS health office at 856-478-2016, ext. 6311. Without this wonderful, generous community, this project would not be possible!

The dance will be on Saturday, March 28, 2020, at Clearview Regional High School from 6-8:30 pm. Please click HERE to access the flyer. Last quarter's donation from amazon smile totaled $132.24. Thank you for shopping! The Harrison Township PTA continues to be eligible to receive donations with purchases you make on Amazon. AmazonSmile donates 0.5% of every eligible purchase to the Harrison Township PTA. To help, go to every time you want to make a purchase from Amazon and, at the same time, make a donation to the PTA. It works the same way as your current Amazon account. It costs you nothing and with the Holiday Season right around the corner, it’s a great way to support our schools! Just be sure to look for the AmazonSmile logo in the top left corner. Please share with friends and family so they can make a donation too!

Please click HERE for information regarding both of these announcements and thank you for supporting the PTA.
