Virginia Music Educators Association Honor Choir Stars

On November 17-19, Emma Jenni and Zafar Syed traveled to Hot Springs, Virginia to sing in the VMEA Honor Choir. They were chosen from over 600 Virginia seniors who auditioned for only 120 seats. Emma and Zafar rehearsed for hours each day of the event with acclaimed conductor Dr. Eugene Rogers from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. The performance, in front of music educators, parents, and friends, was a moving musical experience. Rising seniors who are interested in auditioning for a place in next year's Honor Choir should practice their sight reading and performance skills.
