Fall Conference Preparation
October 21-22, 2015
Fall Conferences are Almost Here!
We can't wait to see everyone next week!
We wanted to take a moment to provide your family with some tips to help make the conference experience go well, and be productive for you.
Top 5 Tips for Great Conferences
2. Have a Conversation with Your Child about his/her progress in school before conferences.
3. Focus on the Learning. Familiarize yourself with some of the work that has come in (including assessments and longer assignments) in order to have a more complete conversation about your child's learning.
4. Support Learning at Home. Ask how you can support your child's progress at home from the teacher/s.
5. Be on time. Coming late to a conference will shorten your time to have a meaningful conversation.
I forgot my Conference Schedule! What do I do?
Should my Child Attend?
- Lower School students do not attend conferences until Spring Conferences (Grade 4).
- Middle School students in 7th-8th grade ATTEND conferences.
- Middle School students in 5th-6th grade attendance at conferences is OPTIONAL.

Childcare Options
As in the past, Extended programs offers drop-in childcare free of charge to those parents who need childcare while they are in a parent-teacher conference.
Additionally, they also offer partial/full day childcare for the working parent from 7:30-6:00pm on each day.
- On Wednesday, normal school day charges will apply after 3pm (program is free of charge up to this time)
- On Thursday normal non-school day fees will apply ($25 for 5 hours or less; $50 for anything over 5 hours).
Please notify Mr. Wolfe if you need this option, but drop-ins are always welcome.
