The Buzz at Leeds
April 25, 2022
Message from Principal Wenz
Welcome back from our April break. We have some celebrations in the next few weeks.
- Please help me congratulate Ms. Bischoff, our PE teacher, who will be retiring at the end of the school year.
- In recognition of Administrative Assistants Day, I would like to recognize Ms. DeWitt and Ms. Ziomek for their hard work and dedication as they support our students, staff members and caregivers each day.
- A huge shout out to our Leeds Educators for their commitment and determination in supporting all of our students, staff members and caregivers, as we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week from May 2nd through May 6th.
- I would also like to show appreciation for our Food Service Heroes on Friday, May 6th. Ms. Sarah, Ms. Pat, Ms. Layla and Ms. Pauline work exceptionally hard each day to provide our school breakfasts and lunches. Our food service department and Grow Food Northampton have been highlighted in the linked report on Food Literacy in Massachusetts (see pages 19 and 27).
- Additionally, I would like to give a huge thank you to Nurse Beth, Nurse Emily, Nurse Amy and our Director of Health and Safety, Lisa Safron, for all of their support in keeping our students, staff, and families healthy and safe at school, as we celebrate School Nurse Day on Wednesday, May 11th.
Stay safe and be well,
Chris Wenz, Principal
