Harrison Happenings
March 23-27
This week in Room 300...
We have a lot of stuff going on this week, so please be sure to read through this entire newsletter!
This week will be another week of review and assessing before the break. The end of the 9 weeks is March 24th, but report cards will not go home until April 10th so that we have time to assess all 30 students once the quarter is over.
Since assessing is never very fun, we will also be incorporating lots of fun spring and Easter activities for the students before Spring Break! Read below to find out more!
Homework this week
When looking at your child's behavior/homework sheet, it tells you to refer to the back for the homework. The back has the homework written for each day, as well as a place to sign to ensure that your child completed the work. The homework all consists of 3rd nine week skills they will be assessed on this week, so it is important that you do not do the homework for them, but allow them to be challenged. If anything is done on paper, please send that paper in to show for completion.
Let me know if you have any questions!
Relay for Life Hat Day
This Friday, 3/27 is Relay for Life Hat Day! If you send in $1.00, your child will be allowed to wear a hat all day on Friday. Please support this important cause! :)
Friday's Spring Party
Also on this Friday, 3/27 we will be having our Spring Party and Easter egg hunt! You should have received a request for 10-12 candy-filled plastic Easter eggs in your child's folder. We will need these eggs by Thursday 3/26. Since we are providing an egg hunt for 30 children, we definitely need every child to bring in their eggs to ensure that every child gets some eggs. :) Please do not send chocolate in the eggs in case it is warm that day. Thank you for your help!
If you are interested in helping send something else in for the party, please let me know, and I will put you in contact with one of our room moms to see if they need anything else.
