#Unity To kick off the new year with some #positivevibes, the Ruben A. Cirillo High School Student Congress came up with an idea to spread words of kindness to fellow students. Last week as a way to start this initiative, our high school staff posted words of encouragement on the locker of every high school student attending in-person classes. Additionally, each locker was given a magnetic whiteboard and a dry erase marker so that our high school students could write messages to each other. | #Respect In the past week we have learned of the passing of two former employees. Debbie Weiss was a teacher's aide at Richard Mann Elementary and Tony Morabito was the former Director of Facilities and Operations for the district, a former Board Member and former Varsity Girls Basketball and Softball Coach. Both individuals fought bravely against cancer and will be remembered for their influence in our district on our students, staff, and the community. To Debbie and Tony -- you make us #GanandaProud! | #Unity Congratulations to our December Proud Panther award recipients, 6th grade Mckenzie Rogers, 7th gradeOwen Switzer and 8th grade Hunter Walker. These students were chosen by their teachers for demonstrating the 'U" in PROUD (Unity). |
