Highlights from Last Week
STUDENT DRINKS: As a reminder, students are ONLY permitted to have refillable water bottles in the classrooms. Energy Drinks (Monster, PRIME, Red Bull, etc.), Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and other Specialty Drinks are not permitted in the building during the school day.
WASHINGTON TWP SCHOOLS REFERENDUM: Please see Dr. Turnamian's 2/8/23 Community Update on the Washington Township Schools Referendum. Additional information also included at the bottom of the Monday Minute!
LVMS STEM EXPO: Last week we were glad to welcome back the Annual STEM Expo at LVMS! Students from other Morris County Middle Schools were able to join us to participate in a variety of STEM activities including Drone Programming and Flying and Robotics Demonstrations! Thank you to Mrs. Bohrer, Mr. Kasper, and Mr. Ferrante for organizing and to all that were able to join us! See below for a few images from the day!

LVMS STUDENT SURVEY: Please see the 2/15/23 communication from Mr. Ippolito that was sent via email notifying all LVMS students and families about a "Climate, Culture, and SEL Student Survey" that students will take in school the week of February 27th.

ATTENTION 8TH GRADE FAMILIES: The LVMS PTA is offering Little Caesar’s pizza kits for your child to sell to help offset some of your 8th grade Gettysburg / Hershey Park trip costs. More information included below!
LVMS STEM Expo - 2/23/23
LVMS Climate, Culture, and SEL Survey 2023
During the week of February 27th, all LVMS Students will complete an electronic student survey. The goal of this "Climate, Culture, and SEL Student Survey" is to poll our student body to gain basic information about the students’ current experiences at LVMS, and to gather ideas from students that might enhance their middle school experience and opportunities in the future.
Please CLICK HERE to view the notification letter and post that was sent to all LVMS Students and Families on February 15th. In the letter, you will find more specific information about the Student Survey, including question samples, topics from the survey, as well as an opt out request form should you feel necessary. Please feel free to reach out to your child's grade level counselor with any additional questions.

Spring Sports Paperwork
All paperwork and physicals for Spring Sports will be due on Friday, March 17th. Please CLICK HERE for additional information and paperwork. Late forms or incomplete packets cannot be accepted after Friday, March 17th.
Boys Baseball - 7th / 8th Grades
Attention all 7th and 8th grade students interested in signing up for baseball. Sign ups will begin Tuesday, February 14, outside of the North Gym. Please make sure to supply your name, grade, and homeroom teacher on the signup sheet.
There will be an organizational meeting for all 7th and 8th grade players interested in trying out on Wednesday, February 22.
Girls Softball - 7th / 8th Grades
All 7th & 8th grade girls interested in playing for the LVMS softball team this Spring should sign up outside Rm. 26. Coach Demarest´s Room.
Please complete and return to Coach the player form ASAP.(found by the sign up sheet (Rm.26)
Try-out dates will be announced and posted on the Website in March

**Track & Field is open to 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Students
Attention all 6th through 8th grade students interested in signing up for Spring track, signups will begin today, 2/13/23 outside Coach Petrucelli's room (room 38) near the main office.
Please make sure to supply your name, grade, and homeroom teacher on the signup sheet, as well as take a packet.
