Advisory is the back bone to creating and maintaining a sense of community in our school. At the start of the year students are assigned a homeroom, or advisor. During advisory, students learn to work together, communicate, and problem solve as a team. This year we will be ordering t-shirts for each student to represent their advisory team from Whitt's in China. Please complete the attached form indicating the appropriate size for your student. T-shirts are cotton, Gildan brand shirts. We appreciate your help getting the most accurate shirt for your student. :)

  • All teams play at their respective school fields. Palermo plays at Turner Ridge Road fields and St. Michael's plays at Piggery Road fields in Augusta.
  • Second games start approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes after the first game time.
  • All DH games will play 25 minute halves starting on October 1st.

Welcome Back from the Nutrition Team!

Join us in welcoming our new Nutrition Team! Theresa Dunn joins the CMS staff as the new Nutrition Supervisor, Anitta Dunlap is our Nutrition Support, and Debbie Michaud returns as our Nutrition Worker. We are so thankful for these ladies and all that they do each day to ensure students receive delicious and nutritious meals each day!

RSU18 offers online payment services through mySchoolBucks, which can be used to pay for school a-la-carte items at lunch. *Before creating an account, you will need your student’s Student ID.

Upcoming events:

Trunk or Treat at CPS Parking Lot- October 28th from 4-6pm. Candy donations are being accepted to help ensure all the Trunks have enough for all the kids throughout the night.


China Schools Craft Fair- November 4 from 9-3 at CMS.

  • Volunteers for evening before and day of the event will be needed. We will be posting a sign up for volunteers.

China Middle School is located near scenic China Lake in Central Maine. The school serves the children, families, and residents in the town of China. Our middle school has students in grades 5 – 8. We are part of RSU 18, which encompasses the towns of Oakland, Belgrade, Sidney, China and Rome.
