Social media guidelines in instructional activities

*Respect copyright laws when using social media in a learning environment. "It is critical that you show proper respect for the laws governing copyright and fair use or fair dealing of copyrighted material owned by others."

*Respect Your audience. when expressing opinions be sure to be respectful.

*Filter quality but don't over control. Basically, the majority will set the tone and become more credible sources which will discourage low quality users from participating within the learning environment.

*Enable people to collaborate. Allow individuals to discuss topics upon one another and share their opinions in a respectful and professional manner of course.
* Measure the impact of knowledge sharing on performance. Allow users to share their knowledge and assess what theyve learned through discussions, quizzes, exams etc.
