Computer programming is becoming one of the most fastest growing jobs in the world due to the new technologies coming out. What a computer programmer does day-to-day basis is create and modify software that allow computer applications to run properly. This is necessary because if something is wrong, and production of that product continues, it can lead to malfunctions and crashes. Also, programmers make a code, conducting trial runs in programs to test them, and modifying and/or correcting them to get them working properly. If you want to work in this field, you should know the ins-and-outs of programming and how to get a program running. You can get this training at most colleges. Some colleges where you can get your certificate/degree is Triton, DePaul, and ITT Technical Institute. The work environment of a computer programmer is a technology company such as Google and Apple. One health risk is straining your eyes due to looking at a screen for a long periods of time. The job outlook for a programmer is good due to a bunch of new technology coming out that companies need programmers to make codes. The skills necessary for a programmer is critical thinking skills, reading comprehension skills, and being able to work for a deadline. The average salary of a programmer is $74,220 in Illinois.

Some related college majors that I can go for to be a programmer is Computer Graphics, Management Information Systems, General, Computer Programming/Programmer, General. I could get these degrees at DePaul University, Triton College, Oakton Community College, ITT Technical Institute, and Illinois Central College. Working at Best Buy, Radioshack. This will show me how to fix computers. Also, someone there that has experience in coding and programming can show me how its done.
