SLP Schools Online: Grades K-6

Greetings,
Even though the weather feels like February, we have only eight more weeks of school. Hard to believe… My recent online classroom visits have been a pleasure. My biggest joy comes from recognizing the strong sense of community that students and teachers have created through the online learning model. The climate of care, respect and safety among each group is evident and has grown throughout the year.
SLP Schools Online K-6 for 2022-2023
As I’ve communicated for past several weeks, we intend to continue to offer SLP Schools Online for K-6, but the experience will be quite different than this year. Our intent is to move closer to our long-term vision for the online experience. By mid-May, we will be ready to share the design for next year with special consideration to what will look and feel different from this year’s experience. Watch for details on information sessions.
Spring Assessments
The following dates have been identified for our online students to participate in spring assessments.
- MCA (Reading/Math grades 3-6), Tuesday, April 26
- MCA (Science grade 5 and Make-ups all grades), Thursday, April 28
- Cognitive Abilities Test/CogAt (grade 2), Wednesday, May 4
Online classroom teachers and I will continue to partner with you to make sure your child feels safe and cared for. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me at 763-600-5057 or kfehri@district16.org.
Take care,
Kim Fehringer
