Nikola Tesla Background:
Nikola Tesla was a well known inventor, electrical engineer, and physicist who contributed greatly to the development of the alternating-current electrical system, or AC, that is still used today with several improvements over time. Tesla was born on July 10, 1856 in what is now Smiljan, Croatia, and died in New York City on January 7, 1943. He invented several things like the AC, as well as his invention in 1891, the “Tesla Coil”, he developed and used fluorescent bulbs in his lab before the industry ‘discovered’ or so called ‘invented’ them. Tesla also contributed greatly in science with robotics by the idea that all living beings are solely driven by external impulses. Tesla said, “I have by every thought and act of mine, demonstrated, and so daily, to my absolute satisfaction that I am an automaton endowed with power of movement, which simply responds to external stimuli.”
Diploma's earned:
Nikola Tesla earned several Diploma’s such as the Diploma of the honorary doctorate from Columbia College (New York-June 13, 1894), Diploma of the honorary Master’s Degree from Yale University- (New Haven-June 27, 1894), Diploma of the honorary doctorate from the Vienna University of Technology-(VIenna-May 24, 1908), Diploma of the honorary doctorate from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Belgrade-(June 15, 1926), and several others.
Some of Nikola Tesla's Inventions:
A couple of Interesting facts about Tesla!
Two Facts:
1) One interesting fact about Tesla is that his 1891 invention, the 'Tesla Coil", is still used in radio technology today.
2) Another interesting fact about Tesla is that he's one of five children, his brothers and sisters include Daniel, Angelina, Milka and Marica.
