Daily Symptom Check Reminder
We would like to remind everyone that all students who are attending in-person instruction must have a completed symptom check form on file prior to entering the school building each morning. The form must be completed no later than 7:30 am each day. The form is managed through the FACTS student information system.
To access the daily symptom check webform, please log into the FACTS Family Portal (https://logins2.renweb.com/Logins/ParentsWeb-Login.aspx?, school code SMA-MA). Once you have logged in, under "School", please select "Web Forms." Please select the "COVID Response Form - Family" web form.
COVID-19 Safety Protocols
Mask Policy
All faculty, staff, students and visitors are required to wear masks indoors, except when eating or during rest time (PreK only). Students need to bring at least two clean, dry masks to school each day in a zip lock bag; used masks are not to be reworn before laundering. Masks must consist of at least two layers and fit well on the face, without gaps. Masks with valves of any kind are not allowed to be worn, nor are gaiters or bandanas.
Masks are not required for outdoor activities, including recess and physical education.
Daily Symptom Check Webform
We will continue to require daily online COVID-19 Symptom checks through the FACTS portal, and encourage anyone who does not feel well to remain at home. To access the daily symptom check webform, please log into the FACTS Family Portal (click here for link - school code is SMA-MA). Once you have logged in, under "School", please select "Web Forms." Please select the "COVID Response Form - Family" web form. The daily symptom check should be completed no later than 7:30 am each day school is in session.
Travel
For travel outside of New England (domestic and international), we will continue to follow the CDC’s guidance for travel. Please notify Mrs. Pedicini before traveling to determine the details and timeline for your child’s return to school.
Remote Learning
Remote learning is not being offered this year as a standard learning option and will not be available for those who are traveling. However, we will continue to utilize remote learning to support students who need to quarantine due to close contact with a positive case of COVID-19, or students who isolate if they have COVID-19 and are feeling well enough to participate.
Additional Safety Measures
We will continue to utilize a layered approach, including encouraging vaccination, indoor masking, frequent hand washing/sanitizing, maximizing ventilation, using HEPA filters in all indoor spaces, and encouraging physical distancing of a minimum of three feet indoors to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. This school year, we will be adding weekly COVID-19 Safety Checks (pool testing) for consenting students, faculty and staff, along with in-school rapid antigen testing for symptomatic students, faculty and staff. More information regarding this program will be forthcoming and participation in this program will require parental consent.
