2nd Semester Survey
Now is your opportunity to make a change to your child's instructional setting (in-person or digital) for the second semester.
- Parents have until November 15 to make this change.
- Only those wishing to change need to complete the survey.
- This is the only time for a change to be made.
- Changes are made through the Parent Portal.
If you do not have a parent portal account, please go to the school district website for information or contact Jean Limmiatis or Mary Benist at Mountain Park to request one.
Reminders for In-Person Students
- All students must arrive to school with a mask.
- All students can bring a water bottle. It can be refilled using our bottle filling stations.
Fall Picture Day for Digital Students - Rescheduled for December 3
If you would like your digital student(s) to take fall school pictures, please click here to sign up for a time slot. If you have more than one student at Mountain Park, please only sign up for one spot, but include how many students you are signing up in the comment. For example, if you have a first, third, and fifth grader, you would sign up for one slot and then add 3 in the comment section.
The link to pay for pictures is on the sign up, but you can also get to it directly by clicking this link. If you are purchasing fall pictures, please prepay at the link.
When it is time for your child to take their picture, you will come through the car rider line. Your student(s) will get out and go to the cafeteria to take their picture while you wait in the car. Please remember, students need to wear a mask in the building, they will take their mask off only when they take their picture. Staff will be directing students where to go.

Upcoming Events
11/10: Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A from 5-8pm: Visit the Stone Mountain Chick-fil-A to pick up dinner and help support the PTA. Be sure to tell them you're from MPES, so they donate a portion from the sales to the PTA.
11/12: Zoom PTA General Meeting 6pm: You are invited to attend a Zoom PTA meeting. The Zoom link will be provided prior to the event. We will review our fall fundraiser, vote on two PTA board member positions, discuss future plans for the year, and announce the PTA Membership Raffle Winners!

School Nutrition Program
A reminder that the free- and reduced-price meal application must be filled out each school year. Even if you filled one out in the spring, you need to fill out a new one for the coming school year. The form for School Year 2020-21 is available on the GCPS homepage. On the left side, click "Apply For" - "Free/Reduced Lunch". You may complete the online application 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Reasons To Keep Your Child Home From School
You should keep your child at home if he/she might spread an illness to other children. Children
who are sick have a difficult time participating in class and learning. Please read the attachments below for further details.
