GROWTH MINDSET NEWS Grade 3
Third Grade is ringing in the new year with Growth Mindsets on their minds. Using self-talk and creating goals, these 3rd graders are ready to have a great school year. Each student chose a word that means something powerful to them with their goals written below. This is on display right outside the office. Thank you 3rd graders for modeling growth mindset to us!
GROWTH MINDSET NEWS Ms. Barnett & Ms. Graf's 2nd Grade
Ms. Barnett and Ms. Graf’s classroom celebrated the month of December focusing on the theme of the month ‘Unity’. Students read, “Everybody Needs a Rock.” And found the perfect rock of their choice. In the trophy case each rock is on display as they are each special in their own unique way, ‘Unified together’ to make one classroom. Students also drew pictures of what the word unity means to them.

Plan ahead to attend “Cookies and Cocoa” virtual family reading night! On the day of the event, your child will bring home a bag with cocoa and cookies for 2 people to enjoy while listening to books read aloud by teachers from Eagles. They’ll also bring home a FREE book they picked out!
Your family can access the read alouds through your child’s SeeSaw account on their school device. The event will be posted at 6:30 pm on Thursday, February 4th, 2021. Mrs. Lingle will have information about our Title programs in the post also. In addition, Mrs. Lingle and Mrs. Miligan will have links to read alouds along with 6 other Eagles’ teachers.
Check your child’s “Cookies and Cocoa” bag for a prize ticket. Write your child’s name and the title of 1 book you listened to and return the next day for a small prize. Also, your child will have one week to complete and return the “Reader’s Response” to be entered into a drawing for a new board game on Friday, February 12th.

Snow Day Makeup Day
Due to the weather-related school cancellation on December 23, Fargo Public Schools will use the storm make up day built into the school calendar. Fargo Public Schools will hold classes on Friday, April 30, 2021. This is now a day that students and staff are expected to be at school. To see the full 2020-21 school calendar, click here
2021-2022 Incoming Kindergartners
In May there will be a virtual opportunity for our incoming students and their parents to experience what it is like to be a kindergartner. Spread the word! We want this to be the largest class yet!!
Eagles Spring Book Fair

Happy Valentine’s Day from the Eagles PTA! Join us online this month for a virtual crafting event. A surprise Eagles alum guest will show us how to make a tissue paper heart wreath!
You will need:
Heart shape wreath form
cut from cardboard or chipboardRed and pink tissue paper squares
White glue
Paint brush
Pencil with eraser
Ribbon or string for hanging
Embellishments (optional)
The instructional video will be posted in the PTA Facebook group on Saturday, Feb. 6. Share photos of your Ace’s completed project by the end of the day Sunday, Feb. 14, to be entered in a prize drawing. Comment on the video with your photos or email eagleacespta@gmail.com.

Trollwood Performing Arts School 2021 Summer Registration
Get ready to Color Your Summer! Trollwood Performing Arts School is excited to welcome students back to the stage with a full array of 2021 summer performing arts educational opportunities. 2020 was a difficult year for those who are passionate about performing arts. Many classes and performances were canceled due to COVID-19. Upcoming summer arts programming will help students rekindle their affection for the arts, boost their creativity, and pave the way for their future, whether they aspire to pursue a career in the arts or any other professional opportunities.
