School-Wide Reading Initiative!
Icenhower will be embarking on a School-Wide Reading Initiative where all student will be required to read a certain amount of books from several genres for the school year (more to come on this exciting adventure)!
Our teachers are building their classroom libraries to give students a wide variety of books to choose from, and any books you no longer use would be greatly appreciated!
You can drop off your donated books in either the front office or give them to your child's Language Arts teacher!
2018 STAAR Scores - how to access them online
See step-by-step directions below. We will have a copy in your child's permanent record file that you are more than welcome to get a copy of, however, the online version gives you more detailed information in regards to how your child performed on specific TEKS.
Recess and Husky Time This year!
In order to give the students more time to play, we will have one day a week designated for a 40 minute recess and then FUN Fridays each week for about 40 minutes. The non-recess days for your child's team will be spent doing activities during Husky Time.
See schedule below for when your child's team has Recess or Husky Time on which days.
