Panther Pride
February 21, 2021
We are very excited to welcome students back in-person and online tomorrow, but we also recognize this has been an incredibly challenging week. Many spent the week without power, water, or possibly even food, and some may still be without these resources even now. Please know that we will try to help connect you with organizations that can provide some of these resources where possible, and know that our thoughts are with everyone who faced significant challenges this week.
At Vista Ridge, we believe that students must feel physically and emotionally safe before we can expect them to perform their best academically. To that end, we're planning to take Monday of this week to reconnect with our kids, create some fun learning and opportunities for them to talk about their experiences (if they are comfortable doing so). They won't be coming home with homework tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll instead be coming home with some comfort that things are going to be okay.
Once again, please let us know if there is anything we can try to do to help your family at this time. It was a hard week on top of an already hard year, but we are all in this together.
