Maker Space Mondays

Starting this Monday Room 531 will be open at lunch on Mondays. Mrs. Marinos will have a craft or project for students to participate in. This Monday students can come and make a lanyard. We are still collecting supplies, but eventually the Maker Space will be open for students to let their imagines run wild and create some one-of-a-kind creations.

Electives & Clubs Showcase Night

We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, November 15, 2018 for our first ever Electives & Club Showcase Night. Originally it was from 7:00-8:30 pm, but due to the growing excitement we will extend it until 9:00 pm. This will also provide more time for those of you attending the Grand Canyon Informational Night, which should end around 7:15 pm. Please see the attached flyer below for more details about what will be featured during this evening. The drama and music shows will each repeat three different times to make sure you get to see everything. Feel free to invite perspective Kennedy families to attend. We will also send flyers to our feeder schools this week.

STAR Testing

This week students will take the STAR reading test again. We will encourage students to take their time and do their best. Please echo that message at home. The general results of the November test do get shared with the Board and Redwood City School District community. We will be announcing some extra rewards that can be earned for students who show growth from the September assessment and/or meet or exceed grade level reading expectations. The scores will be on the report card, but we will also enter them again in PowerSchool as a non-counting grade entry.
