Progress 1
- Progress 1 ends this Friday. Amelia will be sending out a checklist on what you will need to complete in MC. Everything needs to be finished by Friday @ 3:30 PM. Make sure you have data in MC so students and parents can see their progress thus far. The grading cycle is open and ready for comments - remember comments are sooooo important for students and parents.
- The Lighthouse Team will be meeting this coming Wednesday @ 6:45 AM in the team room. Anyone can attend!
Instructional Excellence
- All teachers that have completed an administrator approved performance-based teacher evaluation and completed a mentor program for new teachers can apply for Instructional Excellence hours.
- I will be sharing the form with you by the end of the day Monday.
- The first step is to request hours you think you will need in each category for the year. Remember to give a clear explanation in the description box for each category you are requesting hours.
- DO NOT MAKE A COPY. I have already made the copy for you!
- The form is due by 8 AM on September 30. No request will be accepted after that time so make sure you have it in before then.

The Panther Run benefiting Care to Learn is taking place on Saturday, October 1. My challenge for you this month simply to participate. All registration fees, except the price of the shirt, will go straight to our students and you will be sharpening the saw while preparing and participating in the event! There are 3 distances all with separate starting times: 15K (7:30am), 10K(7:40am), and 5K (7:50am). Every racer is entered into a drawing where over $20,000 in prizes will be given away.
If running/walking isn't your thing, they are looking for volunteers to help with the run, especially at the cheering stations. Debbie Burks needs to know if you'd like to volunteer by September 23.
Information and registration for the race can be found at: http://www.panther-run.com/ I also have paper copies of the registration form that I can copy for you.
Lets see if WMS can have the most participants of all the schools in our district and of course we will celebrate as a staff the Monday after the race!
