LCAP Stakeholder Engagement Meetings
LCAP Goal/Action 4.8 - Parent & Community Engagement
On Friday, February 28 a special LCAP Engagement Stakeholder Engagement meeting was held for the PANESC parent group. PANESC is a Soledad-based parent support group for families who have special needs children. PANESC meets monthly. The parents, who are primarily Spanish Speaking, heard from District staff on current student data and a detailed description of each LCAP Goal. They then participated in a gallery walk to place stickers on LCAP actions of importance to them as well as make suggestions for new actions. The parents provided valuable input, which included: More consequences for bullying, Sticks & Stones for the middle school and High School, more translation & interpretation staff, and regular meetings and updates on data.
